When I was a child, my parents always encouraged me to find what I love and pursue my passions. Unfulfilled dreams and being forced to follow paths sketched out by others were some of the biggest wrongs they wished to make right. I fell in love with cinema very early in life. I would watch films over and over with a feverish passion. Sometimes when love is so deep, you struggle to find the words that can describe why you love something as much as you do—you simply do. I feel like that today to a certain degree. But it's also the magic of the light that is always changing and the way that it is able to make you live in the moment, or how stories can be captured and shared through the camera, or how film is the closest thing to dreams we have that makes me fall in love again and again with film. But ultimately, it is just love and it doesn't need to be explained, and I also thank it for that.
